Copenhagen, March 10, 2016 – Peter Colsted joins the Coretech A/S’ board of directors on the threshold of a new chapter for the Microsoft consultancy company. 2016 is the year when Coretech plans to seriously get off the ground. Microsoft Gold Partner Coretech’s expertise is in Microsoft System Center and Cloud Platform technologies and, since its inception in 1999, has achieved international recognition as a consultancy company advising clients worldwide to implement and fully benefit from their investments in Microsoft solutions.
Throughout the years, Coretech has had a strategic focus on specialization as the key to success. Although the base is in Denmark and with only 30 employees on board, the company has managed to establish a global business with customers around the world. Co-founder and Microsoft MVP (“Most Valued Professional”) Kent Agerlund has achieved a near-iconic status in US Microsoft System Center circles, presenting at webinars and conferences that attract large audiences.
These successes are the foundation for boosting international growth, and the reason Peter Colsted has joined the company. Peter Colsted has worked with business development at Microsoft in Denmark and at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond for twelve years, until 2013, when he was appointed CEO of the Danish IT security company Secunia. He spearheaded the turnaround which eventually led to Secunia being sold to an American software company in 2015.
“We are very pleased to have Peter Colsted as part of the management team. He has extensive experience in both management and business in the international IT industry, and has a thorough understanding of Microsoft and their solutions. We look forward to benefiting from his knowledge across the board”, said Peter Odgaard, CEO of Coretech A/S.
As Peter Colsted joins, Coretech also establishes an office on the US East Coast, to be closer to North American customers and partners. From April 2016, the office will become the hub for the US part of the business and bring the company physically closer to Microsoft.
“Coretech’s decision to base the business on specialists and expertise, is a key factor in the success the company has been experiencing from the start: Microsoft MVP’s have a huge impact in the Microsoft universe, and it is an excellent strategy to be the provider of several professional consultants at that level, when you want to heighten your profile internationally and increase awareness with the major enterprises”, Peter Colsted explained about his confidence in the company’s ability to grow. “I look forward to getting started. There’s no doubt that Coretech is a great business with lots of potential to grow upwards and outwards”, he concluded.
Coretech was originally founded by Microsoft MVP Kent Agerlund and Kåre Rude Andersen who were responsible for the daily operations of the company until 2011, when Peter Odgaard joined as CEO.
