In recognition of CTGlobal’s advanced skills and capability in delivering security solutions on the Microsoft platform, Microsoft has just awarded CTGlobal Security Gold Partner status
Copenhagen, Denmark — June 11, 2021 — CTGlobal, the expert IT consultancy and development company focused on cloud, data center, security and enterprise client management, today announced the company’s sixth Microsoft Gold Partnership: Security. CTGlobal is already a Gold Partner in Application Integration; Windows and Devices; Cloud Platform; Cloud Productivity and Datacenter; and Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialized Partner for Windows Server and SQL Migration to Azure.
The new partnership status is the result of a more dedicated focus on security from the consultancy, that historically has been associated with client management and cloud and datacenter expertise:
In addition to letting a number of consultants become certified in a number of security competencies, earlier this year CTGlobal launched a new IT security strategy, advocating two things:
First of all, that security be addressed holistically — as a foundational discipline integrated in all IT activities, resting far more on sound processes and policies, and far less on specific technology products.
And secondly, a “Microsoft Security First” approach based on the full utilization of Microsoft security technologies. “Microsoft Security First” represents CTGlobal’s experience that, for the majority of organizations, the correct utilization of Microsoft technologies is adequate to improve security substantially, and will be sufficient protection from cybercrime.
Security is not so much about technology
Director of Identity and Security at CTGlobal, Henrik Christensen Lei, who is the driving force behind the new strategy, is very pleased that these efforts have paid off with Microsoft, resulting in the Security Gold Partner status, as well as with CTGlobal’s customers:
“We have received a tremendous amount of positive attention and feedback on our new strategy. It is clear to me, from talking to our customers, that the way we address security today, is an eye-opener to them. Instead of drowning in technical specifications about ‘how to connect this product to that product to achieve this enhancement’, we are enabling them to rise above the technicalities, and device best practices that will protect their organization far better than any one piece of software,” explains Henrik Christensen Lei, and elaborates: “Security is not about complex technology. It’s about how you handle very simple things. And security is not a detached activity, it’s an integrated part of your entire organization, and a fundamental discipline to any modern business.”
Security is about synergy and intelligence
According to Henrik Christensen Lei, the shift from product focus to people and processes is made possible by the way the Microsoft security stack is engineered: The stack is based on the synergy between the components: the intelligence that builds within the infrastructure, if it is configured and used correctly, and if the organization is willing and able to analyze and learn from the output.
“Microsoft had a bad rep in security circles for a long time, but in recent years they have invested huge sums and resources in developing their enterprise security solutions, and it has worked! Today, their security products are developed to be integrated with each other, and to create synergies that make the individual product – and thus their customers’ security – stronger than the sum of the individual parts. This is the big differentiator from stand-alone security products, which may be excellent for what they are built for, but which do not work optimally when they need to be implemented in a reality full of other products,” says Henrik Christensen Lei.
CTGlobal’s security solutions combine Microsoft’s security suite with a NIST-CSF-based framework, and the data visualization tool Insight Analytics™ to get an accurate and factual overview of security status, trends, issues and progress.
